Do You Need a Double Stroller or Baby Jogger?

A stroller or baby jogger stroller is one of a new parent's most important decisions.  When it comes to  getting a stroller, there are styles to fit different lifestyles.  Some parents may want a double  stroller, while others may need to buy a baby jogging stroller so mom and dad can sustain their normal active lifestyles.  Wheels are an important factor when determining which surfaces a jogging stroller can be used on.  It is a fact that baby jogging strollers with larger wheels approximately 20 inches are able to move more smoothly.  The larger-wheeled baby jogging stroller works well on uneven terrain, and in the end, it just looks great!   Jogging strollers with smaller wheels, around 12 inches, are easier to turn.  These strollers, that usually include swivel wheels, are for everyday use on flat surfaces.  While not every parent needs a jogging stroller, many select them just for their look.  A quality jogging stroller can cost between $100 and $300 depending on its features.

For parents who want a baby stroller that fits two, double strollers are the answer.  The double stroller is called by different names, which include tandem stroller and duo stroller. If the stroller seats children front-to-back it is known as a double stroller.  The appealing features of a tandem stroller are that it delivers ease of folding, gives each child their own canopy, and also many times offers two reclining seats.  Double strollers are beneficial for families with twins, and even families with one infant and a toddler, since this is a baby stroller that grows with the children.  Another situation where a double stroller  meets a need is in a day care center.  Owning a dependable baby stroller is one thing, but for a day care center where there are a number of children who need to be brought outdoors in the fresh air during the day, a double stroller can give you the ability to take out two at a time for a stroll around the neighborhood.

A baby stroller is an important purchase and parents need to consider certain things before they buy.  A baby stroller must be durable.  This goes for double strollers and jogging strollers.  Nobody likes the thought of going for a walk and losing a wheel due to poor construction!  Going with your baby for a walk is something that should ensue the feelings of relaxation and happiness to both of you, not stress. 

Another aspect of a baby stroller that is important is comfort.  There should be plenty of padding in seats of both double strollers and jogging strollers for the comfort of the child.  An uncomfortable seat is going to make for an uncomfortable baby.  Babies that are not comfortable can be fussy.  If your child is uncomfortable in their baby stroller, you may find that you end up carrying them.  If that's the case, then the whole purpose of the baby stroller is defeated.

When thinking about what size of baby stroller to buy for your infant, a general rule of thumb is that the smaller the baby, the larger stroller you need.  While many people prefer the idea of a small baby stroller that is easy to maneuver, larger baby strollers have more features such as oversized wheels, shock absorbers and more padding for a comfortable ride.  That's the best way to travel!
