Baby Facts Few People Know
It's common knowledge that babies are fun and cute. They get to wear super cute and goofy looking clothes. When else in life can a person get away with wearing a sweater emblazoned with a clown without being teased? Most people think that there isn't much to being a baby. These same people seem to think that, except for an inability to communicate properly, babies are not that much different from adults. Babies are actually quite complex creatures who have very specific needs. Here is some (hopefully) new information about babies. By the way, don't forget to study up on ways to stop bed wetting!
By the time most women learn that they are pregnant, their babies already have pumping hearts. The heart forms and begins beating around three weeks after conception takes place. It usually takes until right about this milestone for a woman to learn that she is pregnant. If there was ever a marvel about babies it would be that it only takes three weeks for biology to take a couple of individual cells, join them together and form rudimentary organs that start to fully function. Doesn't it blow your mind that the foundation of the heart that you have now only took a few weeks to make?
Music can be heard and recognized by babies even before they are born! Different songs can be recognized by the time an infant is thirty four weeks along. This means that the baby spends more than a month in the womb being able to identify different types of music! Some mothers even report that their babies will move in time to the beat of certain songs. This could mean that a person's musical taste is instinctual instead of conditioned. How fantastic is that?
Were you aware that babies grow tails as they develop in the womb? It's a fact! Your baby's tail starts to form at the same time that the other organs like the brain and the heart and the lungs begin to develop.
As they mature in the womb the organs inside the baby develop but the tail usually ends up disappearing-the body takes over and the tail disappears up into the body. Many people are reminded of the way tadpoles become frogs. There are some people whose tails never get completely absorbed and are born with a tail still in place. If this happens the baby's parents have to decide if they want to have the tail removed or If they simply want to wait and hope that it goes away as their child grows up. Thankfully, the tail has no bearing on the rest of the child's health and can be removed without worry.
There is a ton of baby development knowledge that most people don't know. Ironically, the more information an adult has on a subject the more patience he or she usually has for it when faced with it.
