Pizza Making

Adapted to suit a variety of cultures and tastes, pizza is a popular dish no matter where you go in the world.
Although some of us assume pizza derives from Italy, it actually began in Greece, many, years ago. The earliest pizza’s were cooked in wood burning stoves and on earthenware but were dissimilar to the pizza we know today and came with Greek Flat bread as a base.
It was the Italians that came up with the pizza that we know today with a dough base and cheese and tomato toppings and of course whatever other toppings you decide to put on. These can range from mushrooms, bacon, salami, peppers, anchovies, tuna, sweet corn, onion and ham to name a few.
The ability to add a selection of different toppings, pizza is adaptable and can be created to suit a variety of tastebuds. You might find that different members of your family like different toppings so it might take a few goes to make the pizza that is suitable for every one.
Even though you can buy pre-made pizzas in the super markets, making your own home made pizza is way better and is much more healthier. Once you have your dough base (this could be purchased ready made or made at home) then it’s time to add a tomato puree base and add the cheese and varied toppings. Mozzarella cheese is easily the most popular due to its strong taste, but a wide range of cheeses are suitable.
Simply cook in the oven once your toppings have been added for about twenty to twenty-five minutes. Pizza’s can be served either cold or hot depending on taste, and are a
good compliment to a salad or even served as a main meal.
